Try first

  1. Look at the drain hose under the sink. Straighten any kinks or bends in it.
  2. Choose Cancel & Drain on the control panel to pump out the water. Use it once.
  3. If the code clears, run an empty cycle with a cup of vinegar or dishwasher cleaner.

Do not

  • Do not keep re-running cycles if OE comes back after these steps. LG says the unit then needs repair.

Call a pro if

  • OE comes back after you have checked the hose and run Cancel & Drain.
  • OE shows on the very first cycle of a new dishwasher or new waste disposal. The drain hose may be fitted wrongly.
  • Water stays in the tub, or you see leaks or water on the floor.
