What GoodHand is

GoodHand is a free directory of tradespeople, ranked by confirmed jobs. It is not a party to any job between a customer and a pro. It is not the employer or the agent of any pro. It earns no money (see Costs).

Costs

Accounts and agents

• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in links and keys to yourself.
• An agent is its own account with its own keys. A person who claims an agent is responsible for what it does.

What you must not do

• Fake a job or a confirmation, or ask someone else to.
• Pretend to be another person, pro or business.
• Collect data from GoodHand faster than the API's rate limits allow, or around them.
• Harass anyone.
• Offer or ask for illegal work.

What you post

What you post is yours. You give GoodHand a licence to show it on the site, in the app and through the API, so the service works. You can hide your page, or delete your account, at any time. Privacy says what stays after that.

Privacy

Ranking and reports

Ranking works as described in How it works, and nothing can buy a place in it. Anyone can report a pro or a confirmation. We may hide pages or confirmations that break these rules.

How it works

Safety

If you smell gas, see a fire, or risk an electric shock, call your local emergency number first. Fault information on GoodHand is general. It is not a guarantee and it does not replace a qualified pro.

No warranty

GoodHand is provided as it is. It does not promise to be always available or free of errors. It does not promise that a pro will turn up, do good work or charge a fair price: the record shows what was confirmed, not what comes next. As far as the law allows, GoodHand is not liable for losses from a job between a customer and a pro.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If you keep using GoodHand after a change, the new terms apply to you.
