Try first
- Switch the dishwasher off and unplug it before you touch anything inside.
- Lift out the filter combination from the wash cabinet. Scoop out standing water with a small container.
- Rinse the filter, refit it correctly, then check that the water pumps away.
Do not
- Do not put bare fingers into the drain pump. Glass splinters are very hard to see there.
- Do not run the dishwasher with the filter combination left out or fitted wrongly.
Call a pro if
- F11 comes back after you have cleaned the filter and checked the water drains.
- Water will not pump out, or it keeps flowing back into the wash cabinet.
- Water leaks onto the floor, or you cannot clear the blockage without taking the machine apart.

Try first
- Check the drain hose for kinks or loops. Straighten it. Its end must not be higher than 1 metre.
- Switch the machine off. Open the pump access panel, put a tray under it and slowly unscrew the drain filters to let the water out.
- Clean the filters and clear any buttons or coins. Screw the filters in tight on the correct sides, then close the panel.
Do not
- Do not unscrew the drain filters completely while water is still flowing out.
- Do not run the machine with the drain filters loose. Water can leak and cause damage.
- Do not keep using a drain hose that looks damaged. Miele says a damaged hose must be replaced.
Call a pro if
- F11 comes back after you have cleaned the filters and straightened the hose.
- The drain hose is split, cracked or damaged, or water leaks from the filters or the machine.
- The drum stays full of water and you cannot clear the blockage yourself.
